Webasto make

HI there

i whant to make something similar with a webasto sistem. Webasto is an auxiliary heating for cars. In my case i need 2 wather sensors and 2 relays or contacts. My sistem works like that ( in my imagination). I have from another car some incandescent plugs, that fits perfectly on heating pipes. From this plugs i have 2 wires, negative and positive for power and 2 relays for command. My point is: can i build, using arduino, one sistem that can start the plugs when is below 7 degres and stop them when are more than 40 degress ( celsius) ? What do i need?

You could use the thermal switches as inputs to an arduino which then needs to be programmed to control a transistor to drive your bulb, but you don't need an arduino or transistor or programming - just…

Could you simply use 2 bimetallic thermostat switches in series, one would open all temperatures above 40 and the other would open at all temperatures below 7 degrees - so both would only be closed between 7 and 40?

Thank you Paul and Douglas for your reply. On the car i have 4 plugs and 2 relays. i need that this plugs to light up when the outside temperature is below 7 and to close them when it reaches 40( inside wather temperature). This will help wather worm faster. In theory i need two temperature sensors, one outside and one in wather. on the arduino board can i use normal temperature sensors? My plan is to connect the board at car sensors. I have one sensor that displays outside temperature in dashboard, and second one displays the cooling sistem temperature. Do you think that i can do this with Arduino?

my english is not quite good and by normal i meean temterature sensors on the car. I think they work on 12v and have a bigger range on temperature.

I'm not very experienced with auto electrics, but I would imagine that interfacing with the on-board temperature sensors might be a challenge.
There may be some members on here with experience in this field.

I Was thinking, can i use one board, one sensor and one bulb? So, when the sensor has 6 degres to light up the bulb and when reaches 40 degres to shut down the bulb. Can i do this with arduino? Or some other board?
