What're you up to this weekend?

I'm going to tinker with different soundcards I have, USB and PCI to see which is better at storing and playing audio from old vinyl records that I have.

What do/don't you have planned?

I will be building timelapse videos from my timelapse still images. This week generated some great sunset images with lots of color.

Raspberry Pico and FreeRTOS tests. The RTOS can schedule and run tasks on both cores of a RP2040. I'm checking if this works well with the new Pico C/C++ SDK 2.0

    That sounds fun.

I have a couple of current sensors I want to play with this weekend, and there's also an experiment with handheld scopes that I've been meaning to share here, but I'm in the process of documenting it better, and making it more concise. Would be great if I could finish that this weekend too.

Honestly, I have no ear for music. I like USB sound cards. I think they are more versatile.

This weekend I will work in this one: Eye On Intelligence Challenge

Participating in the element14 community of course... Slight smile

Taking delivery of and weather depending, planting of 750 new Allium Sphaerocephalon bulbs to 'refuel' the garden ready for 'Save the Bees 2025'.

Spending a bit more time learning Pixera for a new 48 screen immersive installation.

I'm working on a fancy time-lapse camera for my 3D printer. Still have some issues to resolve.

Fighting with my Arduino Opta.  Copied code won't compile.  Not finding the error.  Also watching Green Bay Packers play American football in Brazil.  Placing concrete slab.  Hauling bags of documents to the local shred-fest.  Grandson football.  Donating platelets.

I’m currently printing a holder for an outdoor temp/humidity sensor.  We’ve been having miserably hot weather and I’m deploying more sensors to more optimally operate my HVAC unit.

Depending on how my SuperArtGirl is feeling (only one more month of chemo to go!), I'll either be picking rocks and fixing the parking area at the cottage, or at home trying to get my little CNC router working from the Raspberry Pi.

We set up a woodworking area in the garage at the cottage, so I am hoping the CNC will be able to add some interest to some of the smaller projects Slight smile

Not intended for audio, but using audio op-amps!

I'm trying to build an amplifier  KiCad 8: Working with Circuit Simulations!  for measuring low-voltage signals. Basically a better iteration of Viewing Noise with a Measurement Amplifier benefiting from the mistakes learned. For instance, I found the very low-frequency response not very useful. 10 Hz is ok.

I found 100 Hz low-pass filter wasn't that useful. Also, the switchable gain of 100 and 200 isn't that helpful either. A fixed gain of 100 would be fine.

I don't think BNC are needed, smaller SMA is more convenient. Replacing batteries is annoying, so a rechargeable battery would be better.

I think I want switchable low-pass filters at 10k, 100k and 1 MHz. And switchable DC or AC input (10 Hz as mentioned).

    Additional ideas welcome.
