I like USB sound cards. I think they are more versatile
They can have quirks, some certainly cap the frequencies lower than they claim; but I have an older USB Creative Soundblaster with a pre-amp that's useful for vinyl recording
I am working on the part 2 of my blog on BeagleY-AI. ( BeagleY-AI Review - Part 1). I had a good time playing with the board in the past few days.
The board is intended for EdgeAI/ML inference. But its quite sad that there are no real examples out there showcasing the DSP features.
The example provided in the getting started guide TensorFlow Lite Object Detection runs at ~3FPS. The same model produces much better results on RPi5.
The issue there is the examples are not utilizing the DSP Processors. I have made some progress on this. I would probably working on it the coming days.
I have to prepare blog 1 on Eye on Intelligence Challenge as well.

I'm trying to build an amplifier KiCad 8: Working with Circuit Simulations! for measuring low-voltage signals. Basically a better iteration of Viewing Noise with a Measurement Amplifier benefiting from the mistakes learned. For instance, I found the very low-frequency response not very useful. 10 Hz is ok.
I found 100 Hz low-pass filter wasn't that useful. Also, the switchable gain of 100 and 200 isn't that helpful either. A fixed gain of 100 would be fine.
I don't think BNC are needed, smaller SMA is more convenient. Replacing batteries is annoying, so a rechargeable battery would be better.
I think I want switchable low-pass filters at 10k, 100k and 1 MHz. And switchable DC or AC input (10 Hz as mentioned).
Additional ideas welcome.
Depending on how my SuperArtGirl is feeling (only one more month of chemo to go!), I'll either be picking rocks and fixing the parking area at the cottage, or at home trying to get my little CNC router working from the Raspberry Pi.
We set up a woodworking area in the garage at the cottage, so I am hoping the CNC will be able to add some interest to some of the smaller projects
