I may be late to the party but I just noticed we have 2 new "Level 10 Turing" Members mcb1 and shabaz. Congratulations to them for breaking through the glass ceiling.

    Hi John,

Spotted your post and totally agree that congratulations are in order for Mark and Shabaz.

I wonder how soon they will exceed the points to the next level.

Thanks DAB and everyone : )

It's also quite a nice coincidence, that me and Mark went to see where Turing worked, a few years ago. It was quite moving, learning more about what went on back then.. The Imitation Game is a film worth watching too.

    I can sympathize.

I get second degree sun burn in about twenty minutes of full sun.

I spent my vacation in Hawaii covered in sunscreen, which in the heat and humidity made the trip less then fun.

At home I do not spend very much time in the sun.

All you UK peoples should count yourselves lucky. Over here, the stern look is a separate charge that isn’t covered by health insurance.

Antihistamines, SPF50 and a stern look! I think they were just covering all their bases to ensure you don't do it again. Sounds like they couldn't decide between an allergy from the high pollen count or a heat rash and added in the SPF50 and stern look to stop you getting burned and risking skin cancer image

I discovered it was possible to get a sun allergy by sitting out in it too much and went all spotty. Doctor prescribed antihistamines and factor 50 sun lotion after giving me that look that means "what did you think would happen"

Well it peaked at 32C last weekend and it was hot enough for long enough that we finally succumbed to buying an AC unit so we could stop ourselves melting! image

We're having the warmest June/July for decades!

    image

I'll wait until the news says that everyone is falling over from heat stroke, then I'll believe you image

I know the scottish will be wilting in 20+ temperatures.
