Even though the crowdfunding campaign failed, it was still the most money ever raised on IndieGoGo! Such a shame that (in my opinion) they were a bit greedy, and wanted too much up front. They were never going to raise $32 million, no matter how badly people wanted this phone. And evidently they wanted it very badly. I know I did!

Yep, just mentioned something similar in reply to a post above. Interesting really -- when you look at the options in the poll, chances are we're going to see combinations of these things, and not just one or the other. As you say, you voted for biohacking, but because of its wireless payment possibilities.

My prediction, will be, the integration of human tecnology.

meaning that we will use, wearables, like coats, shirts, tennis shoes, with sensors, and communication systems, that allow us to, go further, with devices, like, power banks, blue tooth, wifi GPS, Altimeter, Facebook, twitter... integrated on a coat, we are able to maintain communications, and link to web, without the need to seat, or stay at home.

Imagine like you are at a mountain, practicing skying or snowboarding, and you catch a avalanche, with this kind of equipment, you are able to be detected.

And not so in this kind of sport, in another kind of situations, like a kind that lost in mall/shopping.

I can't WAIT to get a self-driving car! I hate driving, and everything about it. The sooner a computer does it for me, the better. I know there are concerns over safety and ability of auto driving tech, but the way I see it, they only need to be better than humans at driving, and I bet most of us who regularly commute will agree that sets the bar quite low!

Seriously though, I think we're actually being weaned onto self-driving cars already. A car company can't just sudden't release one -- no one will trust it. So instead, we're already seeing cars that park themselves, have auto-breaking, intelligent cruise control, and a whole bunch of other small, automated features. That way, in five years, we'll be ready to accept handing full control over to the computer, because it'll already be controlling so many of the car's functions anyway.

I liked the Ubuntu smartphone that they tried to Kickstart (but the goal was way too high), which ran Android when you were using it as a smartphone, but switched over to desktop Ubuntu when you docked the handset. Awesome idea, and even though it didn't work out that time, I reckon it's still coming soon.

I have lost this detail. Where do they kickstarted this? I got about one year ago as Ubuntu premium developer the news of the system preview of a Ubuntu mobile idea. Then I tried and checked. In that period (between the end of 2013 and the start of 2014, so a long time ago in terms of technology evolution) I was working on the definition of some special characteristics of a Android tablet. As I was - just as you - intrigued and fascinated by a dual-system Android + Ubuntu and done some tests and tries. Take a look to the following video just showing the results:

Then also other methods was published to give this cohexisting ... Now my question is: if me, alone with a very reduced knowledge respect what managed by the Ubuntu guys, I am able to do this, how is possible that they need to kickstart an expansive subscription? As a matter of fact I abandoned this way when they started to ask about 3000$ just to have the components (no hardware at all) to be authorised developers for this new system. That, alone (Ubuntu mobile only) has a lot of limitations respect the Android device.
