I'm not sure what's worse:

• not being nominated  -or-
• being nominated and only getting a single vote (thank you to the person who did )

You've had enough publicity lately, so I think your 15 mins of fame is up....

This poll is worse than the previous years where 'someone' just won.

For 250,000 members the voting isn't that high.

Yes, about the same as last year at this time.  That's when vsluiter decided to prove a point and get 13 people from his hackerspace to vote for him, giving him a win that he freely admitted wasn't deserved: http://www.element14.com/community/polls/1654

I suggested last year that voting for community awards should be made an Action Item so members see it.  The awards were more visible this year since they show up on the element14 home page, but that doesn't seem to have translated to more voting, at least for the Member category.

O yeah I forgot about that one.. a Whole year's gone already !! bugger

Yes, I think you are right about make it an action item.

It does humble you though to realize that so few people are interested in who is nominated for past actions.

I would at least expect ALL of the top members to vote.

After all, you were all selected based upon your participation.

They did all vote or at least the majority that's why we have 32 otherwise we would have near to zero I bet.

Not that 32 isn't near zero  out of 250K

I just looked at the listing for the TM group.

There are 37 but at least three have not logged in for many months, so apart from 2 votes thats it, and we have to assume all votes are from the TM.

The voting for the Foreget Me Not didn't have all the competitors voting, let alone the 250k members.

nlarson  I had to chase around to find the voting, as it seemed to disappear.

It's not on the Activity screen, so unless you notice it the first time, its very likely you'll never find it.

Imagine if our politicians were decided on .0128% of the eligible voters.

I didn't vote... I only voted on technology. Regarding the "best member" I can't make up my mind, and a blank vote is not an option.
