And I managed to get the 2nd prize, free AR.Drone + Nokia N900. image

CuteDrone / CuteFace is a face-controlling application done with Qt/C++/Python/OpenCV for AR.Drone. It was completed in 24h time frame in MeeGo Summit FI 2011, Tampere (http://summit.meegonetwork.fi).

Thanks for that. Sounds like an introduction to my normal workspace image

I actually feel that I won big time in that 24h competition. It was a really stressful to research, design and develop something under really tight schedule and also the fact that I had to present the end result for the summit visitors in the next day around 13:00.

So I feel that I gained something which I could not have received in any other way. image ..and it was a nice reminder that sometimes the quick-and-dirty concept R&D can be the answer. And one of the reasons why I feel happy is that any of you can take the idea and the code and make it even better.

After all at least the face controlling was a unique experiment and really fun experience to be done in-front-of ~300 geeks. image ..so if any one of you have a chance to add similar way of controlling your embedded devices, why not give a try.

Btw, I found a pic from the prize ceremony from web (I am on the left hand side).

Nice one! Unlucky only getting second. Could you tag the blog with blogzone please? I was talking to another of our users Paul at an exhibition in the UK and he suggested we get a place wher we can bring the best blogs together. I created a group http://www.element14.com/community/groups/blog-z which will pull in blogs that use that tag,
