Progress on archery timer

Hi All,

Looks like I am making progress on my archery timer.

I have flags se for the traffic light indicators and a pre-timer countdown prior to the start of the shoot. Then the main timer kicks in and changes the traffic lights and sounds buzzers etc.

Pulled apart the old lights that don't work anymore and found the supply regulated by a simple LM series regulator and the displays are driven by CD4511 BCD to seven segment drivers.

I will be connecting the radios next to confirm comms and then onto interfacing the transferred data into BCD to drive the displays.

Good times image

I noted that the other posts were in your blog after posting this.   image

    Probably very popular in Europe

That may be where our global reach could help you.

Do you know If I can move these posts?

On the right side you should see a MOVE icon, that will allow you to choose the place.

Sorry my bad! It was meant to have posted on my personal blog. I must have selected the wrong area by mistake. Wonder how that could have happened....

Finding a MK1 remote is not easy. To my knowledge only 3 sets were ever sold into Australasia. The one I now have and the two Mk2 ones that Archery NZ own.

They do not appear to be very popular in this neck of the woods. Probably very popular in Europe.

    Cheers

    Warren.

    Looks like an interesting project.

Just wondering why this is in Feedback and Support.?

While I apprecaite you're looking for support (and feedback) this should actually be "Community Feedback and Support" and is for issues with the site.

You can move it to your own blog.

Thise that are following you will still get it, and it will show in new activity.

    re the remote.

If you can find someone with a Mk1 unit, you may be able to copy the datastream.

    Cheers

    Mark

Sure will when I get home. Not much to see at this stage, just some arduino bits hanging together and a set of old ChronoTIR L'Arc lights (they look pretty cool).

They are the Mk1 lights and the original owner lost the remote. Unfortunately you cannot buy the Mk1 remote.

The Mk2 remotes do not work with it. I suspect they changed the data stream format.

I inherited these and then used one of the original low power transceiver module form one of the displays to keep Archery NZ lights going.

Given no remote and now one receiver gone, I figured I would build my own remote and interface an arduino into the existing circuit on the display.

The display manufacturer can be found here..
