This is a quick unboxing and power up of a $9 CHIP computer in case anyone had doubts about the Kickstarter promises....

    This little computer has a lot of built-in features and computing power in a tiny form factor, including WiFi and Bluetooth. This makes it a great platform for high performance mobile or wearable devices or small embedded applications, and the hardware is open source. One of the reasons I bought the small display is in anticipation of mobile applications. I don't have specific projects in the works yet - still getting familiar with features and programming environment.

    I got the display on ebay - it is a 5" 800x480 rear-view display for vehicles. There are many to choose from in the $17 range, just make sure to check the resolution. I use a $2 DC-DC module to boost USB voltage to 12 volts for the display.
