imageFirst, this server was donated by a friend of mine who smokes! The first thing I did was to take it completely apart, every bolt, every panel, and run them through the Dishwasher! The parts I removed were:

      • Right Side Door
      • Large Plastic Fan Shroud
      • Right Side Upper Drive Bays (2)
      • Power Supply
      • Mother Board with the two CPUs and Coolers
      • Front Metal Bezel along with the spacers.
      • Front Plastic Black Bezel
      • DVD R/W  x 2
      • Floppy Disk Drive
      • Carrier for the Floppy Drive
      • Dual Font Fan Assembly
      • Rear Cage Support
      • Rear Metal Vent
      • Front Jack Assembly
      • CN-0RH223  Power Supply P2 Extension Cable
      • CN-0TH82  Power Supply P2 Extension Cable
      • CN-0RH233  Power Supply Video Card Extension Cable
      • CN-0U9692  Power Supply

Now the fun begins I also wanted to remove Left Side Cover, This was a pain in the you know what to remove!! and was even worse to reinstall. Some cables are in the way of them so, remove them, they are:

      • CN-0J741     Flat ribbon Floppy Disk cable
      • CN-0JD739  Flat ribbon Front Panel USB Cable
      • CN-0JD841  Firewire Front Panel I/O Cable (RED)
      • CN-0TH82   Power Supply P2 Extention Cable

Now, you found all of the blind screws, removed them, and have the panel off.
REASSEMBLY:  You will have to wait till part 2. ~~ Cris

It will be interesting to see if you can get it up and running.

FYI, arn't there always left over screws after you take something apart and put it back together?

javagoza image I don't know some I will not put back as they are BLIND, and I can live without them!!! For Shits and Giggles I might post a picture of the Rear panel by itself, with all screw holes highlighted!!! ~~ Cris H.

BTW why does everybody ask that question?

Can we place bets on how many screws will be left after reassembly?
