Why does it matter?!

Most of my work is in aviation and avionics where wifi is plage along with 'on the go' usb ports on routers so almost 99% is WIRED, and wifi turned off! This type of paranoia extends in my SmartHab project. We don't want my house security to be snooped or hacked! So in the long run matter does not mater. It's a hole you can't close! Wifi is the hole you can't close the door once you open it. Like a wifi printer on you desk, are you that lazy that you can't run a usb cable 3 feet? ~~ Cris H

Hehe controversial! ; ) I can't recall if the printer I use is wired or wireless (testament to how reliable it's been, I've never checked the connection), but I have to say, I love the capability to send it print jobs from the mobile phone. Or laptop, or if family members visit and bring their laptop for whatever purpose, and need to quickly print something without needing to find a cable for the printer (I think some laptops don't have USB type A any more).

It is an old printer model now, but the mobile capability is excellent for quickly printing off PDFs etc without needing to turn on the PC and re-navigating to whatever document I might have been looking at on the mobile phone. I'm sure there are far better printers now, mine is Brother MFC-L8690CDW if anyone is curious about the model. I've had it for 7 years so far, it's still on the original ink cartridges.

shabaz  "Hehe controversial!" THANK YOU SO MUCH. My HP Old Office Jet only has a Centronics Connector, So I fixed it with HP Jet-Direct Print server, my Brother MCF9970CDW color beast, is another Laser, I love it. and it has a Ethernet Port which even supports cups!. The biggest problem is that is if one of the 4 colors is low it will not even print B&W!!! the only wireless is between my Apartment upstairs 2 floor an my garage which is a work shop of sorts plus storage. But I was very careful its an encrypted VPN that runs on the MAC layer, So good luck chuck!
