What kind of hardware would you like to see RoadTested?

We have a lot of different types of hardware in RoadTests & Reviews, however we tend to err on the side of electrical engineering and design engineers, are we right to do so?

Let us know so we can offer up the hardware that you want to see tested.

Something else: power electronics, sensors, converters ( dc-dc, adc, dac), opamps & instrumentation amp ICs.

The current offer of the Thermocouple connectors is a good example. Components tend to be much cheaper than scopes or other nice test gear - so the odd misfire won't matter as much. The problem is that…

I voted something else - I want to see variety. MK

    And definitely:

More EV kits, sensors, stuff like that.

I tend to think those are more interesting than 10K oscilscopes.

All of the above, but those are starting to get boring.

    something different.

Maybe some FPGA, or soemthing like that.

This may not grab every ones attention but having a Mobile device / phone and pc back ground.

A Look At some 5G   Hard ware components or maybe even some experimental applications of the sort    Would be awesome !!!!

I enjoy Road testing Kits:  learning kits, robot kits, drone kits, engineering kits, experimenters kits, LED display kits, kits that have some instructions as for learning new topics, and flexibility to experiment and add features to the kit's intended purpose.

They're really useful... particularly for checking if the central heating in your house is working.

I agree a thermal camera would indeed be a great road test. I guess that's mainly because it falls into the "really cool tool I'd love to have but can't really justify buying" category.

A thermal imaging solution would be amazing to see ...

Something else 1) More evaluation kits. FPGA boards, Microcontrollers, Sensors, etc. These are tougher to connect the right roadtester to the right product, but I think these result in higher quality reviews. How good is the vendor's documentation? How capable is the part? How easy was it to use? Did the roadtester do something interesting with it? It seems like eval boards get more variety, even if they are less exciting than expensive equipment.

Something else 2) fabrication tools. Eventually every product has to go into a box. How do we prototype (or production) build those boxes?

Something else 3) Software tools like eCAD.

Fabrication tools of one sort or the other please.  And I'm onboard with low cost.  It makes me feel better about the box of "not likely to be revisited".
