UNO R4 on the big screen

element14 sent me an Arduino UNO R4 MINIMA, so I though I would show that it is compatible with the original UNO in addition to being way more powerful. To do this demo, I just plugged in a display shield designed for an original UNO and presto - it is an UNO running a big screen display.

The shield was designed by wolfgangfriedrich  and he wrote some cool demo software for it.

Here is the UNO R4 pinout:

I also received an Arduino UNO R4 WiFi and did a little demo here:

Nice blog on the new boards.  That is pretty cool that you mentioned the video adapter of a fellow element14 member (nice one  wolfgangfriedrich !).

Vehicle back-up LCD viewers still use composite video, so they make a nice low-cost display for your shield.

dougw  Thanks for posting this. It is so cool to see one of my boards in action. Cheers.

Btw, I noticed that the randomizer on the R4 seems to behave differently, I never had seen the bouncing ball go back on its path so often before. A lot has changed in the universe since the R3.
