Hi,

Looking for a 32bits / 80MHz Arduino with plenty of FLASH & RAM  ( 512K / 128K ), Ethernet, USB, CAN ... ?

You can immediately get it from Digilent ;=)

regards

    frankman,

                   could you elaborate please.  Exactly what is not 100% compatible?  It is also my impression that not all of the Arduino clones are 100% compatible either.  I am interested because as a newbee to the Arduino I prefer not to buy something that may give me problems if I did not use the original UNO.  This diligent board looks to be a good price point for a complete board i.e. not a kit.

    Thanks

    Hi,

    The ChipKit Uno32 and Max32 have some pins with 3.3V max which is why they may have some compatibility issue with some boards.

    Digilent has just released a ChipKit Basic I/O shield to take advantage of the many peripherals on board on the PIC32.

    Another one is under development and will offer CAN, Ethernet and USB ;=)

    regards

    Hi

    The Chipkit Network shield is also available now. It enables Ethernet, USB and CAN when combined with the Chipkit MAX32

    Regards

    Got my chipkit UNO32 today. image Worked well and blinked the led as it was powered up. I was very surprised when i was not able to program my UNO32, MPIDE reported: image

    avrdude: verification error, first mismatch at byte 0x0180

             0x00 != 0xff

    avrdude: verification error; content mismatch

    avrdude: verification error, first mismatch at byte 0x0180
             0x00 != 0xff
    avrdude: verification error; content mismatch

    Due to some firmware/chip timing problem that has been known for quite a long time now, the programming failed. Not shure how long my unit has been sitting on the shelf, but i thougt this should have been caught at factory QA. Not a biggie if it could easily be upgraded with the new (downloadable) firmware, but it turn out that i need an ICSP programmer - which i don't have. A second inconveience is that the UNO32 is missing the ICSP connector, the connector itself is not soldered onto the board. The chipkit wiki had a page describing the problem, couldn't find anything about it on the diligent website.

    My UNO32 unit has a barcode label "D387905" that i suppose is the serial number.

    Are Diligent still shipping units with outdated firmware?

    Is this a common problem?

    Hi Cris,

    I have used my UNO32 for several months and have not had any problems using the USB interface with the software provided by the Diligent web site.  I have not used the MPIDE, but mine worked fine just from the IDE.
