Servo Problem

i have a custom avr atmega328 board to which two seven segment, a servo and a crystal with capacitor is attached. when only the seven segment is connected, the microcontroller works perfectly.But when i attach the servo along with the seven segment, it starts blinking very rapidly and the servo moves to the extreme end. i have programmed the servo to rotate 0 to 90 and then 90 to zero and the seven segment to show its angle. My code is fine, i have verified it using the arduino. i guess the crystal is causing some interference or there is anything else needed for the pwm operation that i am missing to use the servo. can anyone help me out...??????.....please!!!

  • let me tell you what the buttons do.................the top left button is for the left seven segment and similarly the top right button is for the right seven segment. the down left button is reset and the down right button is set..........when set is pressed what ever number is being displayed on the seven segments lets say 7 and 2 the the servo would move to that angle that is 72..................i can also upload the code if you guy want............and i do want to emphasize the fact that when i assemble this circuit using an arduino, it works perfectly and incase you are wondering that the capacitors on crystal are missing the let me tell you i have attached the 22pf capacitors..............now please anyone tell me whats the problem!!!!!
