hi to all, i want to make my own arduino uno board, is it possible to make one at home ?? i have a arduino uno r3 and have made many fun projects with it i wanted to know can i make one at home as is is open sourced it would not be that difficult to do, has any one here done that ??  would like some help ...

    True Atmega Standalone, Running without crystal oscillator (Arduino) - All

     

    As AVR Atmega328 have internal selectable clock of 1,2,4,8MHz, its possible to use it with Arduino IDE without crystal... Only thing required is in Arduino IDE should Have board option with internal clock... board definations are available on above link...

    Interesting, I have not considered this detail due the speed (or non-speed image) of the processor running at 8MHz but it is true, in theory it can do it.

    I am teaching AVR microcontroller subject in Master of engineering here in India... Not only Atmega328 (28-pin) even AtMega32(40-pin) AVR uC, we are using in lab with Arduino IDE and AVR Studio... and its on breadboard without crystal... and....Even no reset circuit is compulsory....

    There is also a 128kHz internal oscillator which can be used for low power applications.
