Please supply a demo of SDCARD build from scratch of UltraZed-3EG IO card

sint12345
sint12345 over 5 years ago

Please send me the bsp of the board Ultrazed-3EG-IO- Card

I have used three commands in the previous board ultra96-v1 and v2 that worked not as now

petalinux-config --get-hw-description /tools/PetaLinux2018.3/debug_board_config/hdf

petalinux-build

petalinux-package --boot --format BIN --fsbl /tools/PetaLinux2018.3/petalinux/debug_board_2/xilinx-ultra96-reva-2018.3/images/linux/zynqmp_fsbl.elf --u-boot /tools/PetaLinux2018.3/petalinux/debug_board_2/xilinx-ultra96-reva-2018.3/images/linux/u-boot.elf --pmufw /tools/PetaLinux2018.3/petalinux/debug_board_2/xilinx-ultra96-reva-2018.3/images/linux/pmufw.elf --fpga /tools/PetaLinux2018.3/petalinux/debug_board_2/xilinx-ultra96-reva-2018.3/images/linux/*.bit --force

The BOOT.bin was taken form SDCARD partial "demo " and the image.ub ---> I am not sure they are required or they are created in the command.

Please send me all files I need to use for SDCARD creation, bsp, boot.bin, image.ub,

Do I need ext4 or ext3?

Is the SDcard should be 4GB as I got 16GB in the box of the UltraZed-3EG-io-card?

What partition I need to set D:1G boot and E: 13.92G ?

Thanks very much in advance,

Shiri

Thanks very much, I need bsp version of 2018.3, not 2019, else I will need to update all platform to support Petalinux 2019

Second I asked for a demo on creation of SDCard file of the UltraZed-3EG-IO-Board

    Thanks again,

    Hi there,

The link was to provide you the ability to get to the product pages, which shows all the BSPs, SDCARD files, instructions, etc. that we have and this link would help anyone else looking for the same as the link provides a quick way to get to any product page.  If we do not have the exact  BSP you need, you will need to create it.  Looks like we do not have a 2018.3, we have a 2018.2 and a 2019.1.

If you have to have this exact version, you can use the 2018.3 version of UG1144 as a guide or start with something that we have and port it.  The UltraZed products are rather simple from the standpoint of PetaLinux and you should be able to port that rather quickly.

As for the SDCARD, I provided a link to the product page.  All of those files are listed there.  I'm sorry you were not able to locate the files.

Here are instructions from Xilinx on how to create the SDCARD partitions, and is generally referenced in our documentation.

    Xilinx SDCARD Instructions

The factory files are located on the product page called Out Of Box.

I cannot provide you a "demo" as it depends on what you are doing.  You will need to look through the designs posted to locate something that is similar to what you are doing.  If you cannot locate that, you will need to go through the basic training materials that we have, which in general, can help you learn how to generate an SDCARD - however will be targeting the specific design in the training materials.  However, then you should be able to apply those skills to the generation of your own SDCARD.

I should also note, that the UltraZed-EG IOCC uses a RAMDISK configuration.  So a FAT formatted SDCARD is sufficient.  Just set the boot jumpers to SDCARD, then copy the image.ub and boot.bin to the SDCARD.  The boot process will extract and load the image.ub files into that ramdisk. so unless you change that to a static file system, you really do not need to do anything to the SDCARD.  Just copy the files over and boot.
