Could you provide me with which version of PicoZed FMC Carrier Card V1 you are using. You can find the version on the back of your carrier card printed in the silk screen. Here is an example of what to look for : MBCC-PZCC-PCB-C
If your PicoZed FMC Carrier Card V1 that you are using is the same revision as above(Rev C), you should look at the PicoZed FMC Carrier Card V1 errata.

If you go to section 4.6 in the "PicoZed FMC Carier Card Rev C Errata" document, it explains an issue with the Carrier Card when an FMC module that requires 3 amps on the 3.3V rail is plugged into the PicoZed FMC Carrier Card V1. This would explain the power isses you are experiencing with the SOM.
The Errata also provides a workaround to this issue.
