Support,
I just got my PicoZed SDR and followed the directions for startup and I cannot get my mouse or keyboard to respond.
Ideas?
Thanks,

Are you using the FMC carrier and stock SD card? Are you plugging it into the OTG port (not the UART port)? I assume you're using a Micro USB to USB-A adapter, plus a USB hub to plug both the KB and mouse?
Have you tried plugging just the mouse into the adapter, and if so, does the mouse light up (assuming an optical mouse)? That would confirm that you have power and that the controller knows that it should be in host mode.
I personally haven't had any problems using OTG on the FMC or my custom carrier using any of the stock SD card images.

Pat,
1) Yes I am using the FMC carrier and stock SD card?
2) Yes I am plugging into the OTG port.
3) Yes I am using a Micro USB to USB-A adapter, plus a USB hub to plug both the KB and mouse.
4) The only way I am able to get the mouse to light up is when the USB hub is connected.
5) How do I know that the controller knows that it is in host mode?

Just to confirm, you're using a Micro USB to USB A female (OTG host dongle)... not a Micro USB to USB A Male (standard Micro USB cable, like you'd charge a phone with), right?
I just saw this post: http://zedboard.org/content/picozed-sdr-development-kit-startup-problem , where the user was having a similar problem, caused by the incorrect cable.

That cable should work, though of course it's possible to have a defective cable. If your mouse doesn't light up when plugged directly into the port using the OTG cable, I'd say either the cable is bad (isn't grounding the ID pin to tell it to be a host, bad contacts, broken wire, etc), or there's something messed up with your SOM/carrier (not seeing the ID pin, not turning on 5V, etc). There's probably a way to echo the OTG state from Linux, but I'm not sure exactly how.
Personally, I'd try another cable, or try that cable on a newer Android tablet or phone with a USB flash drive plugged in, and see if it detects it (which would tell you that the cable is good).
