HDMI is not connected

Former Member
Former Member over 9 years ago

Hi everyone!

I have a PicoZed Development Kit and when I connect the HDMI cable the DS1 is not switch on. Other LEDs are switch good.

The leds that are on are:

DS8 (power) - red;

DS7 - blue;

D3 (SOM) - green;

D4 (SOM) is switch off, so Zynq PL is configured.

I'm connecting a monitor (VGA) through HDMI-VGA adapter.

What could be the problem?

    Hi
    I didn't solved this problem. I could only to connect Linux through the terminal on the PC. HDMI does not work and there are three variants why:

    1. I use a bad VGA-HDMI adapter;
    2. HDMI on the board is defective.

    Besides I did not always can turn on the board (only power LED switch on).

    hello

    I don't think it's the problem of the cable(VGA-HDMI dadpter).Because I use the same cable when i start  (zedboard+fmcommc3),it works fine.

    Maybe it's only the my adapter is a bad.

    If I want to turn on the board I take my ohmmeter and short circuit something =) It's not well but it's working. Now I can work with SDR across terminal on the PC but it's not comfortable to me. I'm prefer GUI interface.

    The process of "short circuiting" the board to get it to power up or boot has be concerned. Some of the symptoms you report sound related to another debug effort underway. I'll know more on Monday and will post back to this thread.

    Are you able to try the following update of the SOM voltage supply sequencing chip (ADM1166):

    ----

    Analog Devices provides a simple Linux script executed on Zynq to download the latest ADM1166 firmware and program the SOM. You will need a networked router with DHCP capability. Follow the instructions at the wiki site listed below. Look for the section “Programming the ADM1166 Power Sequencer – Using Linux or HyperTerminal Program”.

    Thanks but now I have the more serious problem. FMC don't work. U8 is the source of problem. As I know this chip is the source of SYNC_SUPPLY signal that are needed for other stabilizers that generates 5V, 3.3V and other. Now we are trying to solve this problem.

    On the FMC Carrier, do you have P8 such that VADJ = 2.5 or 3.3V?
