Days counted or not counted

I am curious as to why the Starter Kit Map shows my device missing a check-in or Ping, however it has registered everyday?

Is there a way to fix this?

I have the email showing it was registered however the map shows different.

This is becoming very discouraging, it is not getting better. I dont mean to gripe but I have made time for this each evening and when I check the map it shows me missing sending info to server...UUUGGGGHHHHH Makes me want to just give up and shelf this whole thing.

Try using the filters to select only your city and it may show up on the list. I cannot see my device until I do this.

The map doesn't update immediately. If you get a success pop-up from the application and an email reply then you have successfully pinged the server.

There are some unexpected issues that have cropped up, but that is why a big test is needed.
It can definitely be hard for users to know the status and success of their synchronizing efforts.
I had one day when I don't think either of my devices was successfully synchronized.
Another day the system seemed to count only one of my devices. (synchronizing again later worked in that case)
Today, it looks like the sync's were counted, but I got no confirming email on either device.
The best thing we can do is just document our experience so any issues with the system are flagged and can be worked on.

I am sure it's registering, etc to the other replies. My main issue is I was really hoping to use the first stage to get to the second stage. Ie, win a gift card to use towards components to create the application needed for phase 2. Then try and win my kids some Microsoft. But it's discouraging when like I said, time is taken to do this and feels use less. I def understand the testing and such so I will continue. Thanks for feeling my pain!!

Yes, I have received emails for everyday even those not shown in map. Except like Mark stated, yesterday's did not appear not was an email received. Even after 2 successful pings.

You can easily see your days/pings by finding your name on the list and highlighting it as well.
