Are we allowed to enter a project into both the Hackster.io and element14 challenges/contests?

You can definitely participate in both contests if you have a separate device for each contest. I don't know if it is possible with one device - you would at least need to satisfy both phase 1 synch periods…

Hi Elvis! Douglas has it correct below: you can join both contests, but your submissions to both MUST be unique. It is a standard term of our Design Challenges that your build must be unique to that challenge…

Hi Elvis, you certainly could enter with one device! But we understand if it's easier to do two builds with two kits, so if you request a second (if available) and are not abusing the system we are fine…

I don't know if it is possible with one device - you would at least need to satisfy both phase 1 synch periods without overlap (ie synch for 45 days instead of 15 or 30) and create two different IoT applications for phase 2. However since one objective is to test maximum simultaneous access, and 1 device cannot look like 2 devices, it would be more compliant to have 2 devices.
