New kickstarter launched this week called:

"PINE A64, First $15 64-Bit Single Board Super Computer"

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/pine64/pine-a64-first-15-64-bit-single-board-super-comput

PINE A64 is the world's first 64-bit expandable Quad Core 1.2Ghz supercomputer, tablet, media center, and more... starting at just $15.

There still about 40 early bird boards left for $15.  It was $22 total with $7 shipping for USA (Chicago).

Looks a lot more use than the Pi Zero - $30 with 2G ram and Gbit Ethernet - but the software support will make or break it. MK

This is impressive capability for the price. However, I'll wait to see what happens with the software and community, and whether there are issues with the Allwinner A64 SoC. I did a quick performance comparison…

Agreed the memory and Gig-E are the best things about it, been 64 bit less so unless you want to play with ARM64 in which that is worth it all on it's own

This is impressive capability for the price.  However, I'll wait to see what happens with the software and community, and whether there are issues with the Allwinner A64 SoC.  I did a quick performance comparison with my ODROID-C1 which is a quad Cortex-A5 at 1.5 GHz.  According to Wikipedia Cortex-A53 is 2.3 DMIPs/MHz compared to Cortex-A5's 1.57, so a gain of 46%.  On the other hand, ODROID-C1's 1.5 GHz is faster than Pine's 1.2 GHz so by this metric Pine is only 17% faster than an ODROID-C1, so I don't have a really compelling reason to upgrade, though it might be nice to have 2 GB DRAM instead of 1 GB.  All of my applications are 32-bit.  It's hard enough keeping track of 8 hex digits -- I don't want to deal with 16 image
