So I just picked up an Element 14 Beaglebone Black Rev C and I'm running in to a problem. I can boot it and HDMI, ethernet and the mini USB all come up just fine. The USB A port however doesn't recognize anything. I have a powered USB port plugged in with both a keyboard and mouse attached and neither will work. I've updated the eMMC to BBB-eMMC-flasher-debian-7.8-lxde-4gb-armhf-2015-03-01-4gb.img but that hasn't made any changes.
Since it boots in to a GUI I'm assuming that the mouse and keyboard should work.
I've tested all the components: mouse, keyboard, hub and all of the cables and they all work individually and together when attached to another computer so I'm satisfied that the problem is either with the BBB or with me. Can anyone lend some insight.
