MaaxBoard Mini and Sony IMX219 based camera module?

mmoreno-rfcode

Hi,

I'm trying to bring up a Sony IMX219 based camera module on the MaaxBoard Mini.  I see that there is a MIPI driver for the similar OV5640 based modules already in the build.  Is there support on the platform (either Debian or Yocto) for the Sony IMX219?  The specific camera module we had working with the Raspberry Pi is:

https://www.uctronics.com/index.php/arducam-noir-8mp-sony-imx219-camera-module-with-motorized-ir-cut-filter-m12-mount-ls…

We were hoping to use the same camera module on the imx8-mini, but I cannot find any guides for this.  I have found some driver code by broadcom in a discussion here:

https://www.spinics.net/lists/linux-media/msg103247.html

But the actual functionality might be a little sketchy if I were to go down this path.

If there is no good IMX219 support for the IMX8-mini, can you recommend a camera module to go with the EVK?  My board is marked 2AFLY-MAAX-MINI.

Thanks,

Marco

    Hi Marco,

Out of box the yocto and debian images only support the OV5640 camera based solutions. Any additional image sensor support will need to be added.

This is the supported out of box camera module we support https://www.avnet.com/shop/us/products/avnet-engineering-services/aes-acc-maax-cam1-3074457345642357172/

    Thanks,
    Josh
