I've seen this from a couple of sources now:
http://octavosystems.com/2016/05/09/octavo-systems-releases-osd3358-system-package-device/
It is most likely several dies all on a single BGA-style package, which means conventional assembly methods can be used.
Truly fantastic, and goes to show what a stable, long-term, reliable, in-demand design the BeagleBone Black is. I've seen commercial
products/prototypes that have the essence of BeagleBone Black inside them too.
This now means having Linux in your own hardware is as easy as using any other IC.
Although it is BGA (just over 1 inch square), the pins are on a huge spacing (1.27mm!), making it easy to use for anyone.
Amazing stuff, thanks to jkridner and his team for the BeagleBone Black design and sustained hard work
over the years.
