How Do You Get C onto a BeagleBone AI?

Could anyone give me a quick pointer as to where to look for information on how to transfer a C programme to the BeagleBone AI and then compile it and run it?

I have a C programme compiled in Microsoft that I wish to transfer to a BeagleBone AI. I have had a quick look online and Element14 and so far I have not found any information about this. I am not a Linux user so this may be easy and obvious but when you don't know something it always seems hard. The C programme implements an Artificial Neural Network and I want to use it with my LDR Camera as part of the Vision Thing Project14. Time is running out.

BeagleBone uses a development system called Cloud9. You access it after the BBAI boots up by typing http://youripaddress in a Browser on your network. The address could be a different depending how you…

If you want to develop and compile on your PC and then run/debug on the BB(AI): BeagleBone: Build and Debug a Linux C++ Program with Code Composer Studio

    Hi,

You can try ssh in. open up nano. copy your text and paste it into nano. You will need to rewrite your program a bit to compile under GCC.

    Okay dubbie ,

If you do pick this back up then send me a message, I'm familiar with C and happy to help guide getting code onto the hardware. It should be straight forward.

    Christopher,

Sadly, I did not make any progress. You know what it's like, as soon as you take your eye off the ball, something else comes along to occupy your attention. The LDR camera is still sitting next to my laptop waiting to be progressed, but there are just too many other wonderful things happening on Element14 and I keep getting distraction.

Plus, now Spring is just about here so today I've actually spent some time out in the garden.
