Beagleboard have brought out a new single-board computer aimed at artificial intelligence and it's in a form factor that's very different to its previous offerings:

The BeagleY-AI is available to pre-order from our online stores and I'm told we will have stock from June/July time, if not earlier. Meanwhile, the documentation is being fleshed out more than it is already, so we could consider this a 'soft launch'.

Full schematics and details are on their github page, and all relevant links are on our product pages as I receive them.

This beagleboard intends to be an affordable Ai accelerated board compared to other offerings, and at about £57 the price is rather nice!

  • If, like me, you got very excited and pre-ordered one then I suggest you check your order.

    I heard on the BeagleBoard Discord channel that they're hoping boards will arrive at the distributors very soon, so I checked to see if Farnell UK had updated the expected delivery date.

    I was a bit surprised to see that my order had been silently cancelled. Apparently the order code for the BeagleY-AI changed. I've re-ordered, but it would have been nice for either the order to have been updated or at the very least to have been notified that it had been cancelled. Unamused
