1GB DRAM BeagleBone announced

I was happy to see announcement of 1GB DRAM BeagleBone today in the BeagleBoard.org newsletter:

1G Byte onboard DDR3 RAM (double the BeagleBone Black)

3 additional USB ports

6 axis MEMS accelerometer/gyro (possibility to fit 9 axis MEMS accelerometer/gyro/compass)

Barometer and temperature sensor

Gigabit Ethernet

SPI flash for bootloader

Additional plug in WiFi/Buetooth card (uses 1 USB port)

Along with Seeed's BeagleBone Green, Autodesk's Ember & Outernet's Latern, 2015 is shaping up to be the "year of the derivative" for the BeagleBoard.org community. That's the power of Open Source Hardware!

Drew, needs a price and delivery date. I'm fed up with toys with no price or delivery... probably suffering Kickstarter exhaustion !

Hi, We are looking at launching a crowd funding campaign on indiegogo in Q1 of 2016. Pricing isn't available at the moment but will be ready for when the campaign starts we are trying to get the fully populated variant ~$75 mark again all depends on volume.
