I was happy to see announcement of 1GB DRAM BeagleBone today in the BeagleBoard.org newsletter:
- 1G Byte onboard DDR3 RAM (double the BeagleBone Black)
- 3 additional USB ports
- 6 axis MEMS accelerometer/gyro (possibility to fit 9 axis MEMS accelerometer/gyro/compass)
- Barometer and temperature sensor
- Gigabit Ethernet
- SPI flash for bootloader
- Additional plug in WiFi/Buetooth card (uses 1 USB port)
Along with Seeed's BeagleBone Green, Autodesk's Ember & Outernet's Latern, 2015 is shaping up to be the "year of the derivative" for the BeagleBoard.org community. That's the power of Open Source Hardware!
cheers,
drew
