Hello,
Has anyone been to Seeed Studio's BBG page, their wiki, or AWS wiki for the BBG? The beaglebone green is real and it is real powerful. Enjoy it with pleasure. I am currently working with Amazon Web Services to populate my board and use their IoT to connect to the cloud with some of my programs/software. I have been unsuccessful so far but I will keep it up and get back to this blog to tell all about the procedure.
Some people have claimed to use their "beta" IoT cloud based webpage for the uploading of information from the BBG. I have yet to see them correctly. I have not done what they say they can do.
Anyway, I hope people have updated all their boards to the Jessie version of Linux in Debian. I know I have updated my board, i.e. all of them. Jessie is rich and powerful like most Linux distros.
So, I hope people are taking full advantage of new sites, start-ups, and the IoT out there.
I have seen many sites recently getting involved with IoT. AWS, Thingspeak.com, and some others are on the top of my list for now. I am still fighting to get my BBG up and running with the cloud from AWS. I have the Grove connections, the software, and the BBG board. I am lacking in one final step, e.g. the connection. I am going to work on it during the break for Thanksgiving and try to relay more info. as it becomes available. Oh and if you get bored and you are tired of certain Linux Distros, please check out the Yocto Project from Linux.
I have some photography you can view. It may be worthwhile to view it to see what is available out there.
Sincerely,
Seth
P.S. If you want to mention this boards name, please do not hesitate. I will keep on trying to update regularly.
