spdif audio programming

kylemills
kylemills over 11 years ago

i was able to setup the riotboard on Linux after some attempts.

i discovered there is a spdif interface, i want to do some sound programming.

i am new to embedded but have worked on linux, so any pointers will be good.

regards

kyle

While the i.MX6 is capable of SPDIF, unfortunately it's not been usefully wired up on the RIoTboard. Without sensible access to the hardware side of the SPDIF, there really isn't a lot you can do with it.

The only obviously accessible SPDIF signals would be:

SPDIF_IN on KEY_COL3, but that's already used by HDMI

    SPDIF_IN on EIM_D21

    SPDIF_OUT on EIM_D22

both of which are used for USB OTG power and would probably require removal of U20.
