Will Element 14 be selling breakout boards/cables for the Sabre-Lite ?

For example I'd like to be able to do some stuff with the PCIe interface on J23 which is a  "7Pin Connector 53047-0710 Pitch:1.25mm; MOLEX".

When searching for the parts to make up a cable it appears I'll need the following:

MOLEX - 51021-0700 - CRIMP HOUSING, 1.25MM, 7WAY MOLEX - 51021-0700 - CRIMP HOUSING, 1.25MM, 7WAY

MOLEX - 50058-8100 - CRIMP SOCKET CONTACT MOLEX - 50058-8100 - CRIMP SOCKET CONTACT

MOLEX - 63819-0300 - TOOL, CRIMP, PICOBLADE MOLEX - 63819-0300 - TOOL, CRIMP, PICOBLADE

The £214 + vat for the crimp tool is somewhat off-putting given it's close to twice the cost of the board!  A simple set of breakouts to a standard PCIe x1 connector (or mini-PCIe) would be much appreciated.

I'm sure there's an equally good argument for similar cables for the various other connectors as well.

Carefully hidden from casual searching Farnell also sell made up leads with the PicoBlade terminals crimped on:

    112-5274, 112-5272

I've bought so many of these now that I'm beginning to wish I'd bought the tool

There are similar Harwin and JAE leads as well which are cheaper but I haven't tried them for fit.

Michael, those look interesting, but not sure I'd really want to run PCIe over a 300mm fly lead   but certainly they're fine if you just want one cable, although I'd not want to buy a lot of them.

I have a growing collection of crimp tools, experience is that they all want to be different enough that they're not useable for anything else, are eye-wateringly expensive and tend to be single use. Most get used to make a couple of cables then gather dust in the bottom of a toolbox.

The only ones that see constant use are the ones for generic spade terminals and the one for standard 0.1" headers.

From the available photos these ones look very similar to some JST stuff I've used before, but hard to tell until you have one in your hand.

Yep, that looks exactly like what I mean.   Is there a version that goes to a more normal PCIe x1 slot instead of the micro-PCIe ?

+1 to John's reply, where do we get them ?

only problem there is that as I'm not in the US I get hit for $79 - $86 for shipping on a $49 part. So while it's nice to know they exist, I'll stick with waiting for element14 to offer one that I can order locally.

Ideally something like this http://linitx.com/product/11767 but with the correct connector instead of the goldfinger pcb at the end
