Will a 2GB version be available ?

The schematics seem to suggest that the 1GB of onboard memory has the option of using different devices to provide 2GB.

Is there any intention to sell a version of the Sable-Lite with 2GB or the iMX6's theoretical 4GB maximum ?

Having a fast quad-core cpu coupled with more memory would make the platform much more interesting from a lot of different points of view.

Most likely, over time. Especially now that mobile devices are expanding into that size area.

Look into the i.MX6Quad or i.MX6DualLite, both have 2GB RAM. Though, a little on the big and expensive side.

Sorry, I'm obviously missing something here, the headline on the front page of this group reads:

"element14 development kit for i.MX 6Quad, built to the FreescaleRegistered SABRE Lite design"

    followed by:

    Features:

ARM Cortex A9 MPCoreTm 4xCPU Processor (with TrustZone) @1GHz

            1GByte of 64-bit wide DDR3 @ 532MHz

So are you suggesting that as it's a quad it has 2GB ?  Or that it's not a quad ?

The schematics for this Sabre-Lite design suggest it should be possible to populate it with 2GB.  I only asked if there will be a 2GB (or 4GB) Sabre-Lite, not if there'd be some other board with 2GB.

Overlooked the group location. This group is only for the Sabre Lite.

    Disregard my other suggestions.

Ok, so who is marking obviously unanswered questions as 'assumed answered' ?  Cabe gave a helpful answer, unfortunately to a different question than the one asked..
