Using a different LCD screen

philip-1992

Hi all,

I am in a phase of my project where I need to use a different LCD. I am currently using SSD2119 and I am considering in buying the ILI9325. Has anyone worked with these 2 screens? If I have started a project on SSD2119 is it possible to use the same project for the ILI9325? Or I need to change the FSMC timings?

Thankyou all.

you need to change init function, and all other functions (maybe some functions use same commands, like LCD_Clear is same, i mean use same registers )

What i do, is i use same names and same prototypes for same functions, so same code will run on different lcd, but i must change lcd.c and lcd.h files. I believe if you find library from ST that works with you new lcd, code in main will work the same (if resolution is the same)

Go to stm32f4 examples, open adc sample project, \IAR Embedded Workbench\arm\examples\ST\STM32F4xx\STM32F4xx_DSP_StdPeriph_Lib\Utilities\STM32_EVAL\STM324x7I_EVAL (open iar arm, go for example projects, and find this one)
inside files will be for your controller, and functions should have same name.
    Good luck
