Hi, Is it possible to attach 32F429IDISCOVERY atop of STM32F4DISCOVERY Base Board? Thanks.

Hello,

that is a really interesting question ... I also have two such boards here arround.

After a little research I found the schematics of the boards of concearn here:

32F429IDISCOVERY

STM32F4DIS-EXT (including those of the base board)

STM32F4DISCOVERY

The connectors P1 and P2 are of interest and comparing them of the first and last

board, they seem not to be compatible

For example

P1 at the 32F429I has Pin1 and Pin2 5V ... the 32F4 provides ground there

P2 at the 32F429I has Pin1 and Pin2 3V ... the 32F4 provides ground there also

even more:

the base board at CON2 (connecting to P2 of 32F4) expects Pin3 and Pin4 to be 5V, Pin5 and Pin6 to be 3V

So it seems not to match.
