Embedded Artists' LPC1788LPC1788 Developer's Kit lets you get up-and-running quickly with the LPC1788 evaluation Board. The LPC1788 evaluation Board is equipped with NXP's Cortex-M3 based LPC1788 microcontroller suitable for a wide range of applications that require advanced communication and high quality graphic displays.

 

The small form factor evaluation board offers many unique features that ease your learning curve and program development. The evaluation board ships with an LPC1788LPC1788 device that is a superset of several other device variants of the NXP LPC177x/8x microcontroller series.

 

The LPC1788LPC1788 is a Cortex-M3 microcontroller for embedded applications featuring a high level of integration and low power consumption at frequencies of 120 MHz. Features include 512 kB of flash memory, 96 kB of data memory, Ethernet, USB 2.0 Host/OTG/Device , 8-channel DMA controller, 5 UARTs, 2 CAN channels, 3 SSP/SPI, 3 I2C, I2S, 8-channel 12-bit ADC, 10-bit DAC, QEI, LCD controller, SD/MMC interface, motor control PWM, 4 general purpose timers, 6-output general purpose PWM, ultra-low power Real-Time Clock with separate battery supply, and up to 165 (LPC1788FET208LPC1788FET208) general purpose I/O pins.

Features of LPC1788LPC1788 OEM Board:

  • NXP's ARMCortex-M3LPC1788LPC1788 microcontroller in BGA package, with 512 KByte program FLASH and 96 KByte SRAM
  • External FLASH memories: 128 MB NAND FLASH
  • External data memory: 32 MB SDRAM (normally 32-bit databus width, 16-bit version exist as special order)
  • 12.0000 MHz crystal for maximum execution speed and standard serial bit rates, including CAN and USB requirements
  • 32.768kHz RTC crystal
  • 100/10M Ethernet PHY/interface based on SMSC LAN8720
  • 256 Kbit I2C E2PROM for storing non-volatile parameters
  • Buffered 16- or 32-bit data bus for external expansion
  • 200 pos expansion connector (SODIMM-200 format, 0.6mm pitch)
    • All LPC1788 pins available (except a few used for Ethernet-PHY interface)
  • +3.3V only powering
  • Onboard reset generation
  • Compact SODIMM format: 68 x 55 mm
    • Six layer PCB design for best EMC performance

    I'm currently looking at this as an option to do some LPC1788 development, the other options on the market ship with 16bit external sram, but for my intended application I require 32bit data,

    does this board support 32bit data via the EMC?
