Kit Overview

The DM37x generation of high-performance, applications processors are based on the enhanced device architecture and are integrated on Texas Instruments advanced 45-nm process technology. This architecture is designed to provide best in class ARM Cortex A8 and Graphics performance while delivering low power consumption.

Developed with Mistral, the AM/DM37x based TMDSEVM3730 Evaluation ModuleTMDSEVM3730 Evaluation Module (EVM) enables developers to immediately start evaluating AM37x or DM37x processors (DM3730DM3730, DM3725, AM3715AM3715, AM3703) and begin building solutions, including portable multimedia, portable data terminals, portable medical equipment, portable communications, home and building automation, navigation systems, test and measurement, smart displays and human machine interaction (HMI) industrial interfaces amongst many others.

The device can support numerous HLOS and RTOS solutions including Linux and Windows Embedded CE which are available directly from TI. Additionally, the device is fully backward compatible with previous CortexTm-A8 processors and OMAPTm processors.

This board featuring the AM3715AM3715 high-performance application processor comprising of Super scalar ARMRegistered CortexTm A8 with NEON co-processing, and SGX subsystem for 3D graphics acceleration to support display and smooth user interfaces, this EVM kit will allow developers to evaluate and speed time to market. Equipped with daughter card expansion connectors, the AM37x EVM can be upgraded to prototype complete systems.

Key Applications: Medical Equipment, Portable communications, Home and Building automation, Navigation systems, Test and measurement, Smart displays, Human machine interaction (HMI).
