Avnet’s PicoZed SDR 1x1 is a Software Defined Radio (SDR) that combines the Analog Devices AD9364 integrated RF Agile Transceiver with the Xilinx Z-7020 Zynq-7000 All Programmable SoC. Cost-optimized for single RF receive and transmit paths in the 70 MHz to 6.0 GHz range, it offers the same handheld form-factor as the high performance, dual-channel PicoZed SDR 2x2 based on the Xilinx Z-7035 and Analog Devices AD9361. Integrating the critical RF signal path and high-speed programmable logic in a fully-verified system-on-module (SOM), PicoZed SDR forms the RF-to-baseband signal processing core of a wireless communications system, allowing you to focus on the differentiating features of your product. With available carrier cards for fast prototype and supported by robust simulation and code generation tools that integrate seamlessly with Xilinx Vivado Design Suite, PicoZed SDR enables dramatic reduction in design cycles of your software-defined radio products.
Production-ready module System-on-Module designed for immediate prototype and quick integration in your end application. Industrial temperature rated and tested against MIL-STD 202G methods for Thermal, Vibration, and Shock.
Low-power Designed with low voltage DDR3L, high-efficiency voltage regulators, and on-board voltage rail monitoring.
High bandwidth data connectivity Move data quickly with dual Gigabit Ethernet, USB2.0, and high-speed LVDS I/O for custom interfaces.
Wideband, frequency agile RF Uses the AD9364 to provide a highly integrated radio that enables independent transmit and receive paths from 70 MHz to 6.0 GHz with adjustable channel bandwidth <200kHz to 56MHz.
Programmable SoC Embedded processing with the Zynq Z-7020 SoC provides a Dual ARM Cortex-A9 MPCore running at 667 MHz, with built in peripherals like USB, Gigabit Ethernet, and memory interfaces.
Small form factor 100mm x 62mm footprint, compliant with DP10062 “Sick of Beige v1.0” enclosures from dangerousprototypes.com
Operating systems Comes with Analog Devices Linux reference design for Zynq, bootable from an SD card. Also supports Linux, Android, FreeRTOS, eCos, VxWorks and others.
Development tools A broad range of SDR prototype and development environments are supported, including Analog Devices Linux Applications, and MATLAB and Simulink for data streaming and Zynq targeting.
