Can someone please help me make a custom library componant ?

I am not the greatest at building custom componants in eagle . Can someone please make me this componant i need . I am willing to pay if need be . The componant i need is a Sharp PQ12rd21 voltage regulator . It is a to-220.4 package . I need the whole device made which includes the package ,symbol and finished device . Iv tried a few times with no luck and have read several tutorials on making one .

Here is the datasheet for it with dimensions .

http://pdf1.alldatasheet.com/datasheet-pdf/view/43421/SHARP/PQ12RD21.html

If you can make one package with the mounting hole and another with just the pins that would be great .

Thanks in advance .

    everything .

    Hi Chris,

    Well thats committed alright,!!!

    Ok,

    So firstly

Q1) Do you have your OWN library set up. If Not, I suggested that you do

that and start putting your own parts in there!

Now, follow some of the video tutorials there are a few details which is

easier to watch than to explain.

I went through the same pain of creating parts myself, and I can tell you,

its not the actual DRAWING of the parts thats difficult, its the stupid

navigation ( or lack of ) thats the issue its really *** to be honest.!

For a start, when you view the Symbols or packages in a library , you only

get a list of part numbers, you don' get a preview, so this is an issue.

Also, it would be handy to have a forward and back button on the library

editor, as its too easy to get lost. (I guess I could code this up myself

and add some buttons to the toolbar)

This library editor needs improvement but for now you just have to put up

    with it.

As I stated earlier , try to find a part that close as possible to what you

want, then copy the SYMBOL, and the PACKAGE separately, ( using GROUP, CUT

and PASTE commands) and put this into your own library, if you copy a part

from another library, you will get all the parts, which is annoying.

there are some pertty bad videos on the cadsoft website.
