Is uninstalling 5.10.0 necesary or can i overinstall 5.11 on 5.10 ?
what about the projects I already have ?

Not sure about an overwrite. I've never done it. I generally take
eagle's default of /opt/eagle-5.11-0 and change the symlink /opt/eagle
to point to it. That way if there's any problems with the new rev, all
I have to do is change the symlink back to what it was.
By using a symlink, I don't have to mess around with changing all the
paths on each workstation.
