Couple of library questions???

Former Member

image Can anyone tell me how to move the libraries around? I know they are listed alphabetically, but what I would like to do is put my personal library at the top of the list, making it easier and quicker to access. Also,

How does one goes about deleting an individual component in a library. I have created a couple of almost duplicate components for my personal library and now wish to delete one of them. I know if I use the DROP feature, I lose the complete library, not the individual component as I would like.

Thanks to everyone  for helping. In time I hope to be able to receiprocate and help others.

Thanks,

Jeff

I would suggest strongly to put your own libraries in a separat

directory. Then edit library path in

         component as I would like.

in the library editor "remove" the device by typing

         "remove partname.dev"

on the command line. If the associated symbol and packages are no

longer used by other devices you then can remove them too (name.sym,

    name.pac).
