Bugs found in Eagle 6.0

My installation of v.6.0 crashes always immediatelly when I click with CTRL onto simple highlited object in SHOW command. With more highlited objects it works OK.

When I undo PASTE, the window become wrong displayed (some texts mirrored) and correct behavior recovers after re-opening the sheet. (btw, PASTE command now places the content of the clipboard at (0 0) coordinates when finished with ; - don't know fi this is a bug or intentionally changed behaviour). When copying -pasting groups containing nets the consistency is lost and have to be recovered manually - why? Looking forward for the bug-fix upgrade and hopin it will come soon...

So after few weeks spent with fixing unexpected and unnotified consistency errors and other problems I give up, throw all work done in 6.1 and 6.0 in the bin and go back to the old good and stable and first of all WORKING 5.11.

I recommend all who didn't yet convert their data to XML : DO NOT upgrade to 6.1 (6.0) and stay with 5.11 if you don¨t want to waste your time!! I am working in Eagle for years from I think 2.05 or earlier and do not remember so abortive upgrade.

Here's the quickest way I have found so far to make Eagle 6.0 Crash: Start a new schematic. Place a part - say a resistor trimmer. Place another part - say a plain resistor. Move the second part to connect to the first part. Now select the mirror tool and click on the first part (to mirror it). Crash! Needless to say, I discovered this after an hour's work - which I lost!

    Back to 5.11 for me!

    Hi Guys,

Use the latest beta 6.1.1, you'll notice quite a difference in

stability. Many bugs have been corrected and as the betas and updates

continue EAGLE will quickly return to the stability you're use to.

6.0 is a dead horse right now, update and see what you think.

    Best Regards,

    Jorge Garcia

    Hi Jim,

the same behaviour in my 6.1. I am only finishing one board I have begun in 6.1 and have  reverted to 5.11 for new things. I don´t want to waste more time testing dead horses or betas on 'hot' data. Try another problem: Pinswap and then Undo. You will loss consistency without any warning (the consistenci indicator remains green in both SCH and BRD) and only after the first ERC, which may be after hours, you find out that the consistency has been lost and spend another hours by analyzing and fixing the problem. 5.11 is a clear coice for me now, we will see after 6.2 is released. For now, upgrade means lost time and money.
