2013 June EAGLE Bug Poll

autodeskguest
autodeskguest over 12 years ago

Hello everyone,

Vote for what bug you would like to see fixed

http://www.easypolls.net/poll.html?p=51ac92bae4b0604d061ed8dc

The poll will let you selet multiple items--just pick the items that are

important to you. Items are in order of most votes over past months and

prefixed by the number of previous votes in parenthesis.

If you would like a bug added to the list please reply to this post and

make your case.

Disclaimer: I can make no promises these will actually get fixed, but this

should help inform CadSoft as to which bugs should be fixed next. Items in

the list are added at my discretion as well as the decision of bug vs

feature on this poll.

Cheers,

James.

    Please add ULP commands which can perform the very same things as is

    currently reserved to scripts. Precisely, remove the necessity for the

    dirty workaround to generate a script and execute it after quitting the

    ULP.

    Thanks

    You can do this now. Concatenate a string with the same commands you

    would use in the script and then pass the string to the exit() function.

    For example,

    string cmd;

    string s;

    board(B)

    {

       B.elements(E)

       {

         if (ingroup(E))

         {

           sprintf(s, "ROTATE R22.5 %s %d;\n", E.name);

           cmd+= s;

         }

       }

    }

    exit(cmd);

    Oops. Ignore that extra %d in the sprintf() statement.

    Arrrm, that was exactly what I was criticizing as a dirty workaround?

    That we are asking is to execute a command without leaving the ulp (non modal).

    An other function as exec(cmd) instead exit(cmd) is needed;

    That we are asking is to execute a command without leaving the ulp (non modal).

    An other function as exec(cmd) instead exit(cmd) is needed;

    Thanks for making the point more precise. The exit() thing is an

    especially nasty problem.

    On the other hand, I'd really like normal ULP commands which do the job,

    not again sprintf()'ing strings and then handing them over to the Script

    interpreter.

    For example,

    board(B) {

      B.elements(E) {

        if (ingroup(E)) {

          rotate(E,22.5);

        }

      }

    }

    My wish is to have ULP as a full and complete interface to Eagle, which

    can do everything you want, with and without a graphical interface, with

    and without querying the schematic and board inventory, with and without

    changing the schematic and board inventory, ...

    Thanks
