Script / easy way to delete this pesky OC_NEWARK, OC_FARNELL, MF, MPN... attributes in default libs?

Hi,

is there any simple way of removing these pesky default attributes from

the stock libraries that got introduced most likely for this Farnell

shop integration stuff ?

They mess up my BOM with my user defined attributes and for unknown

reasons one cannot delete them from the instance on the schematic and

board (why? I don't see the point?) but has to delete them from each

single part in each affected library...

    This works in Linux, and OSX I'd assume. For windows you'll need Cygwin or MSYS to use it.

    #!/bin/bash

    BAKDIR=lbr_bak

    if [ ! -e "$BAKDIR" ]; then

      mkdir -v $BAKDIR

    fi

    OLDIFS=$IFS

    IFS=$(echo -en "\n\b")

    lbr_files=( $(ls *.lbr) )

    for file in "${lbr_files[@]}"; do

        echo -e "Processing $ ..."

        cp -p "$file" "$BAKDIR/$file"

        sed -r 's^<attr.(MF|MPN|OC_FARNELL|OC_NEWARK)./>~g' "$BAKDIR/$file" > "$file"

    done

    IFS=$OLDIFS

    I have a look into that. Seems a good solution.

    Just tested with the GIT BASH command line from the windows msys git I

    use for version control. Seems to work like a charm. image

    Thanks a lot!
