Is there some way to change the pin names that appear in a schematic
after a large part, like a microcontroller, has been added from a
library?
The justification for changing pin names after adding a library part
is this: Microcontrollers have many multi-purpose pins, and so the
pin names reflect many of those options. For a particular
application, I would like to simplify the pin names to reflect the
configuration that this particular application will be using.
I know I could make a copy of the library part in my own custom
library and then edit the pin names there, but that seems like a lot
of trouble. Have I missed something? Or is this the only way?
