"electrical" symbol libraries?

autodeskguest

Is anyone aware of any libraries of JIC (or similar) symbols for doing

electrical drawings like contactors, motors, circuit breakers, panel

switches, transformers and the like? I realize that Eagle is a PCB package

and that these things are not really PCB elements, but I can't be the only

one who also uses Eagle for drawing general schematics of things that will

not be made into PCB's.

I more often than not find that my PC layout is only part of the overall

system I an working on, and being able to do the entire schematic, including

panel and cabinet wiring in the same format is most convienent.

I looked in the downloads section, but did not see anything like that,

perhaps I overlooked something. I am using v4.08.

Thanks for any suggestions.

    Hello Al,

    There is an elektro.zip at

    http://www.cadsoft.de/cgi-bin/download.pl?page=/home/cadsoft/html_public/download.htm.en&dir=eagle/userfiles/libraries

The tutorial can be found at the eagles doc folder named

elektro-tutorial.pdf. This is available only in deutsch.
