connections

Use nets, not wires for connections.

See that the pins are on grid, set to 100 mils as a standard in schematics.

Make sure that nets are connected to devices.

You can check that by moving the devices and all the nets must follow.

Hi Joem

Thanks for that - I have been forcing connection by adding components (singly) and then connecting them.   It seems to work but takes forever.

You say use nets and not wires, sometimes Eagle asks if I wish to use a net, generally though it has always been with GND.

My scheme is finished and the gerber files created  BUT  I wish to make my own pcb using the toner transfer method.   Another question  -

Whish one of the gerber files would I need to use to get the image on to a board?   Also, what software package would open that file?

A good bet would be to use PostScript - PS or PS_INVERT, depending on

the polarity of your photoresist.

There are many Postscript viewers - Okular is just one, ghostscript is

another.  Most printers understand Postscript, so you should be able to

send it directly to your printer.

You don't need  gerber for toner transfer. eagle is wysiwyg. Just select

your layer, pads and vias and print it on normal paper for a test. If

that suits you print it on your transfer surface.
