I have a circular pcb on Eagle 4.14 pro and I would like to add a notch to the external edge of the pcb.  I can add the notch on the document layer but cannot remove the remaining circular arc across the notch as my notch lines do not connect to the existing pcb profile.  How do I do this?

A "circle" is always closed (360°).

Remove the circle and draw an arc instead, that starts and ends exactly

at the edges of the notch.

    Thanks Tilmann

Unfortunately, the actual pcb was imported from Autocad and has a few other notch-like dimples in other locations around the 'circle' so these would need to be replicated using this technique.  Any other suggestions?

Re-draw the complete outline using arcs for each part of the circle

    (between two notches/dimples).

Or export/import the outline from Autocad as well.

I didn't want to go back to Autocad really because I have another job that needs a complex shape pcb to be designed completely in Eagle and I was hoping the answer would be applicable to both situations.

Especially for complex outlines I regularly enter the commands and

coordinates of the dimension manually. With a little experience this is

really fast - and perfectly accurate. A quick sketch on paper, along

    with the coordinates, often helps.

So does the command line allow you to create a continuous outline with no breaks?

    Yes, of course.

Everything that exactly hits an existing endpoint or wire, will be

    "connected" to it.
