Board houses in Europa

zainka
zainka over 10 years ago

Hi

I am searching for a board house (PCB manufacturer) that delivers high quality multilayer boards and which supports non-standard stack-ups using materials for high-freq. product.

And!!!! which in addition are having their production facilities located inside Europa.

I am aware of the many lists of board houses that pops up listing the cheapest board houses, and I guess many of them might very well deliver high quality products aswell, but I cant focus on this here and the fact is that I get a little bit suspicious when a company shows up on such a list. At which cost is the PCB so cheap? If you know what i mean. I wil lask a few of those I already know for sample PCB's to do some research on them but other peoples experiences is also valuable.

I also know there is a list at cadsoft but this is not a complete list I believe. Atleast they where missing Wurth.

I think you will have a hard time finding a factory in Europe, they

mostly do their manufacturing in china, but add their own quality

control by carefully picking factories (or go broke). Since you seem to

be in Norway, I'd talk to "Josse" (John Steinar Johnsen)

Josse@elmatica.no at Elmatica. He knows his business and have been in

the game for many years, and I'm sure you will not get him stuck on any

    question.

    An alternative is PCBConnect.

    Definitely not.

There are many board houses that still produce in Europe, and we also

buy only "locally" (i.e. made in Europe).

OK, I should have focused on the requested "high quality multilayer

boards and  which supports non-standard stack-ups using materials for

high-freq" that OP asked about. This is a bit vague, but I guess this

points toward HDI. I surely dont know any Europeans doing it, but Im

    open to suggestions.

Surely there are a lot of avg quality manufacturers.

How can you be so damn sure that European board houses are avg. ones?

I understand that one might have tried one in the past and had bad experiences but does that exclude them all as averages?

Im sorry, I think my thoughts came out wrong (again).

I was thinking that you can probably get average type of layout from

Europe (even in high quality), but I have yet to see an European factory

doing high[er] tech PCB layout as requested. That doesnt mean they don't

exist but for my HDI layouts I use the local expertise and quality

control, but they forward the job to Asian or US factories.

But again, Id like to get to know any Europeans doing HDI or higher

tech, so please post any you know.

I do try to read the PCB Magazine (US) now and then, but cant say I

notice much European stuff, but have a flip yourself through
