configuring a large batch of autorouter jobs?

Hi All,

What I'd like to know is how to configure eagle to run a huge batch of autorouter variants (I'm thinking 1000's here) with many combinations of preferred directions & costs in an effort to reduce the via count of manually soldered boards.

The "autorouter main setup" and "routing variants dialogue" in eagle don't seem to offer any way to do this, are these dialogues configurable?  If not, can this functionality be driven by a script or ULP? If so, Does anyone have a good example i can use or adapt?

Thanks in advance

  Robert.

adding many more optimisation passes helps alot with reducing via count...  Attached is an example with 400 optimisation passes.  Load this using the load option in the autorouter main setup.   When used with high effort this always reduces the via count significantly over just doing the default no. of optimisation passes.  Quite often It attains 100% routing after a large no. of optimisation passes, so this is definitely something worth doing.
